Owens Corning Earns Top Marks in 2015 Corporate Equality Index

"Many factors come together to drive business success – among them a diverse and inclusive workplace. We're pleased to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign. At the same time, such recognition reminds us to continue investing in a workplace where our employees feel respected and valued for their contributions."

Owens Corning today announced that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2015 Corporate Equality Index. The CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace equality. It is conducted by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

The 2015 CEI rated 972 businesses in the report. It evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.

Owens Corning's efforts in satisfying all of the CEI's criteria resulted in a 100-percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality. The company has met the criteria for perfect score for 11 consecutive years.

Owens Corning operates five employee-led affinity groups that work to advance the company's commitment to inclusiveness. They include the African American Resource Group; Connections; GLBTA; Owens Corning Multicultural Network; and Women's Information Network. These affinity groups develop programs and activities focused on fostering employee engagement, business impact and community connections.
